A family in Bradford, Ontario, is devastated after adopting a six-month-old puppy named Charlie from the Orillia SPCA, only to have her pass away a month later. Despite initial assessments indicating Charlie was healthy, she exhibited symptoms such as lethargy, excessive thirst, and vomiting. After extensive veterinary care, including a $10,000 treatment plan, Charlie was euthanized due to critical illness.
The family is now seeking answers and accountability from the SPCA regarding the puppy’s health status at the time of adoption.
