The investigation, which began in April 2024, was triggered by reports of the trafficking of adult women. In February 2025, the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) made three arrests, including two 36-year-old men and a 50-year-old man.
On March 20, police identified the two 36-year-old men as Rommel Hinds-Grannum, also known as ‘Nov’, and Robert Hinds-Grannum, who goes by the name ‘Chase’.
The men are facing several charges, including human trafficking, receiving material benefit, money laundering, and uttering death threats. Authorities believe there may be additional victims, and the investigation remains ongoing.
