WASHINGTON — Despite President Donald Trump’s decision to roll back some tariffs on countries worldwide, U.S. duties on Canadian imports remain in place.
On Wednesday, Trump announced a temporary suspension of his “reciprocal” tariffs for 90 days, a move designed to ease economic pressures. However, the 10 percent levy on nearly all global imports stays intact.
In a move that escalates tensions with China, Trump also increased tariffs on Chinese imports to an eye-watering 125 percent.
