A police investigation is underway after a jewelry store at Fairview Park Mall in Kitchener was robbed.Several police vehicles were seen outside the mall around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Waterloo regional police reported that four males, armed with hammers and a gun, robbed an unnamed jewelry store and fled in a vehicle.Two store employees were taken to the hospital with injuries, and one witness was hit by the suspects, causing a minor injury. The severity of the employees’ injuries is not clear.Some people inside the mall at the time of the robbery reported experiencing breathing problems after being exposed to a noxious substance sprayed by the suspects. As a safety precaution, the mall was evacuated.
